Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Lovely sunshine today. I just wanted to be outside all day and spent the morning in the garden with the dogs and cats and the horses. I was hot enough to be in a t-shirt, and that's the first time this year.
Lorna and I spent the afternoon up the field repairing the fencing. Several of the old fence posts have rotted out at the bottom so they all had to be removed from the wire and new posts sunk in and the wire re-attatched. We did replace several posts but a lot of time was spent on the trees. There's lots and lots of trees up there which have had wire stapled into them and, in some cases, have had barbed wire wrapped around them so that they have grown around the wire and it's now inside the tree. I think that's horrible and it was probably done out of sheer laziness.
I wanted a bath after that but it had been so warm I hadn't lit the fire so I got that roaring away and spent some time making phone calls and catching up with paperwork before there was enough water to have a bath. Then it was time to eat and I got settled into the armchair and watched Casualty and ER most of the evening.
