Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

When I saw the horses standing at the fence waiting for me this morning I couldn't bear the thought that they might feel deprived so I went off to get some hay, well, after I'd unloaded the growbags from the back of the car. The car only fits six bales of hay but I didn't feel like dealing with the trailer on my own and no-one else was around. Hopefully this will be the last lot of hay, but that was what I thought the last time. They were certainly ready for it by the time I got back.
After I'd done that, changed out of the farmyard smelling clothes, had some food and uploaded the remaining files I was working on yesterday I phoned Tim and then went down to his office so that we could have a look at the 'big file' and see what needed to be down with it. Three hours later we had a plan and I could come home and not have to think about that one for a while because he has to now do some of his clever trickery with Perl scripts before I need to do anything more about it.
Then I had time to do a bit of proper Sunday stuff and just relax for an hour or so and even do some family phone calls. But very soon I got hungry and started making salad and Lorna did some boiled potatoes and it was dinnertime. Clare arrived just as we were finished eating and she brought Sandy with her and they went up to see the horses before they came in. I had a phone call then from another woman from Agender tv and it wasn't till half way through the call that I realised she was talking about a different programme altogether. Another woman had phoned me a few days ago and asked if two or three of the WIT committee would come on a programme on Tuesday and I couldn't understand why she kept saying Monday but it turned out to be a different company altogether and she needs a Welsh Speaker to do a telephone interview tomorrow. I really could have done without it but I then had to get on the phone to all the other committee members and assorted other people and see if we could rustle up a Welsh speaker, and that was harder than it should have been considering that Welsh Language is so strong around here. Finally Lyn rang me back with a possible lead so if it happens then that's fine and if it doesn't I don't suppose it's the end of the world. In between (and during) these calls I was finishing up the three outstanding jobs for WIT and that's all finished now and I can actually go to bed at last.
