I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

     

Up and out by 10.00 am this morning, having fed horses and got post things together. Pretty good for a Saturday. Town seemed really busy, starting with the organics shop where normally I can back right up to the door but I had to park several cars away today. Usual things in town, health food shop, newsagents and deli for artichoke hearts and a Guardian, bakers to collect my soda bread order and down to Hags to tell them why I was already two days overdue on my videos, the ones I got out on Tuesday and haven't had time to watch yet.

Got home, ate a pastie from the bakers and switched on the computer. Had a look and a think and worked out what I was actually supposed to be doing. That was me for the rest of the morning and the afternoon. I had a few breaks where I wandered outside to sit in the sun for a smoke or throw the ball around for Tigger dog but only a few. 6.30 pm I stopped.

Somehow during the day and idea had been mooted to have a Beltane celebration with an open house tonight and things were happening about that. Lorna was tidying up while Irene had disappeared to Aberystwyth to collect Hansi and there was still wood to collect, fires to be made (four of them) and food to create. I went off and lit my own fire and made a big salad and then we shifted piles of wood around and lit an outdoor fire. It was late by then and I stopped to eat, it was also becoming evident that maybe no-one was actually going to come anyway. That didn't really bother me and I ended up participating in a board game with Lauren and Lorna and Jax and after Lauren's bed time we had some grown up talk time and already it was the hour for going to bed. So that's what I'm going to do.
