Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Well I was supposed to be woken up with coffee after the kids had gone off to school so that we could all go out into the garden and work. I didn't, however, hold out any great hope that that would really happen and got up at 10.30 am to find the house silent except for the odd snore.
Just as I was wondering what to do instead a fax arrived from Petra with plenty of things for me to be getting on with. I was working on that when Lorna eventually came through to say that the gardening session was about to happen. The task today was to get a patch cleared and covered over ready to turn over in the spring. Apart from a lot of raking and digging out bramble roots that involved finding things to cover it with and hauling them down the bottom of the garden along with rocks to weigh it all down. That took us into the middle of the afternoon so with a little bit of light left I processed some wood which we had found whilst clearing and got it on top of the fire to dry out. That was handy, I was just about to run out of wood.
I carried on working on writing out an article for WIT and thinking of ideas for the next event poster. Later off I went off into town to meet Sophie and her friend off the bus because Irene had gone to Aberystwyth to get Hansi who had missed her bus. Tonight was a big party night, I opted not to go, it not really being my sort of a party (not that I really like any sort of a party) but there was the alternative entertainment of seeing how long it would take everyone to get out the door. Irene left just after midnight, as I had predicted and I got the work I was doing finished off and now it's all late again
