Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Well, the horses got plenty hay this morning so they were happy. I was still expecting to hear from Tim but in the meantime I had a pile of stuff to print out, collate and get sent out for the next WIT committee meeting and Hanna's ad to sort out. Rather than search for a floppy disk I thought I could just send the file as an e-mail attachment and after talking to someone in production I did that then went out to post the agendas.
I had a nice afternoon doing pottering things in the garden, repotting a lot of the herb seedlings in the greenhouse and doing some root picking in the pig pen. I also went and measured up the small barn that I want to turn into a studio/office type of thing.
I didn't get much further than drawing the plan though because I have a problem about where or even whether to put in a door through to the house. It needs a lot of work, the more I look, the more I see, and all these crumbling pillar things are a bit odd, I suppose they'll just have to be a feature. I had a couple of phone calls from Diva. about the ad which came through corrupt the first time and the second time the resolution had mysteriously changed to 72dpi from 1200. So I had to redo the whole thing in Quark and send it off again, I haven't heard back but that was at 4.30 pm on a Friday afternoon.
I had the house to myself for the evening and managed to do some interesting tidying. I actually did my desk drawers which may not sound like a lot (it also may not sound interesting but that's the sort of life I lead) but it took me quite a long time and I did find my Pantone book. I was really hoping that in sorting out the drawers I would find that so it was all worth while. I also fixed the long arm stapler which I'd thought was broke forever. It was time to eat then and sit down for a tv gawk for a while. I was watching a really silly film when Irene and Lorna came home and rescued me from the indignity of watching it right through to the end.
