my

Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

It's definitely not a good idea to stay up so late on a Sunday, especially when I'm supposed to be doing things on the Monday. I was quite worried that I'd missed my chance to speak to Bruce, the man who knows the man who fixes Macs, I kept phoning but he wasn't in until finally, after I'd been out and fed the horses I got hold of him and arranged to take the old Performa up there. It was a nice drive up there over the mountain roads and the house was relatively easy to find, which was a relief, round here you can easily drive for miles looking for a place. We sat and talked Macs for a while then I came back home a somewhat long, but scenic road following a big loop.
While I was waiting for Irene to surface I did my weekend diary entries which I'd been too stuporised to do at the time and when Irene did appear I went off for a nice pre-massage bath. I had the room all nicely heated up by then and after not too much faffing about the massage happened. By the time that was done and I'd had a cup of post-massage tea it was dinner time already.
After dinner we all watched a programme on the tv about the state of farming in Britain and could have easily left the tv on all night but instead we decided to get creative and turned it off to something more interesting. That turned out to be our garden mistress plan, we'd been meaning to do that for a while but things get in the way. We started off by deciding on a four bed rotation system, then chose which vegetables and herbs we wanted in each plot. Having done that we then worked out whereabouts in the season they would be planted and looked up a planetary planting guide to see which phase of the moon and in which sign they should be planted and consulted the We'moon Diary to find out what date that fell. So now we have the most astrologically fortuitous dates to plant all our veg. We've still got quite a bit of planning left to do but that was the most complicated part. It was way past 1.00 am by the time Lorna and I got out for a walk with the dogs and then bedtime.
