Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

I was up just after 9.00 am despite the late hour I went to bed the night before. I was in a bit of a panic really because I though it was going to take me all day to do this work and I was feeling naughty about not starting last night. However, when I opened it up and started doing it I realised that it wasn't going to take all that long at all. I had a phone call with Tim and explained that the javascript that he thought he was meant to be writing was, following the call with Dave last night, not what we actually needed and he went off to write something different. He did do it in the end but it wouldn't work with version 3 browsers so we ditched the whole concept. In the meantime I'd finished what I was doing.

I was waiting on a call back from Dave about some heading graphics when Charlotte arrived with her babies and she came in for a bit and we sat on the windowsill outside and had a tea and then Lisa arrived with Jake and she joined us. The rest of the household was waking up by then everybody wanted to be outside because the sun was shining and it was lovely. I was quite glad the phone call wasn't coming in some ways because it was so nice to be out there but after a while I realised that it was nearly 3.00 pm and I was going out at 5.30 pm for a WIT committee meeting so I phoned Dave to hassle him but he'd just that moment e-mailed me the information I needed anyway so I got stuck into it, hoping that I could get it finished before I went out. In the end I did, but only just, it was bang on 5.30 pm when I finished doing it and I still had to get myself together to go out. Just as I was getting into the car I remembered that I hadn't given the horses their bucket feed and there certainly wasn't time to do that so I ran back in to see if Lorna would do it and fortunately she was said she would so then I left.

I was slightly late getting to Heather's but actually arrived at a very good moment, just as food was being dished up. I was hungry as well. We managed to start the meeting fairly on time and it didn't even run that late but what with various post meeting conferences and what have you it was still getting on for midnight by the time I got home. Jax and Lauren had spent two hours cleaning up my kitchen and sitting room and getting the fire on. They'd cleaned things I never think of cleaning and done a really good job and there were candles burning all over the place and it looked great. That was nice to come home to, but I wasn't half knackered and although I really really needed a bath I was more interested in bed than anything. Still never had time to watch the videos I got out yesterday.
