I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick
low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.
It was an alarm clock day today and I only snoozed it for half an hour, pretty good really considering the cat was discouraging me enormously by settling down on top of a different part of me every time I moved to snooze the clock. I had two hours to light the fire, drink plenty coffee, feed the horses, have a bath, see someone about silage wrap and get over to pick up Hanna and I managed to do that somehow. Hanna was ready for me and we set off for Cardiff to visit the printers who are going to be printing her new promotional materials. I was amazed at how fast we got there, I'd allowed two and a half hours and we were there in one hour forty. We were shown into a room and spent a while discussing the papers and colour and stuff and then went for a look at the equipment which I think was far more interesting for me than it was for Hanna but she was very patient about it. |
It was 3.30 pm by the time we got out of there and I was hungry, we were very close to the City Centre so we drove in to find some food. Only problem was that we couldn't find a car park which my car would fit into. They were all multi-storey with height restrictions and so we ended up driving back out of the centre to a place called The Wharf which looked like a not entirely successful yuppie development and ate in a pub that had building work going on. Nice vegeburger though. Coming back somehow took longer and I was quite ready for a bit of a lie down in front of the fire by the time I got back. |
I didn't lie there all that long because I started thinking about the Swansea Women's Centre Lesbian Newsletter and feeling the urge to make a start on it. After I'd poured all the text onto the template pages all I really knew was that it was far too long and would be a squish job. I also spent some time trying to work out some sort of vaguely sensible order for the 32 items. I gave up after a while a went through to do a bit of evening socialising and then out for walk with Lorna and Irene and the dogs. The moon's nearly full, it was cloudy out there but still bright enough to see each other's faces. |
