Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

I allowed myself a real good luxury lie-in this morning and although it was 11.30 am by the time I decided that I might as well get out of bed I reasoned that since I'm not fully adjusted to BST yet it was really only 10.30 am. I was still in my pajamas by the fire when the postie arrived with a parcel for me containing an easter basket from my mother full of lovely chocolates and fluffy yellow chicks. That was a nice thing to wake up to.
It was a damp, grey morning and the horses were waiting at the gate when I went up with some hay. Indoors the kitchen really needed some attention, having been left in a mess since wednesday but I felt like going out first then dealing with it and managed to stay out quite a while with that thought. I went to the organics shop and got a load of salad in and to the health food shop and then lost it a bit and went for egg and chips in the New Bridge Cafe. After a quick trip round Pioneer I went to Glen's garage to see if he could do me an MOT some time this week. I didn't need it till Thursday but he said he could do it right then and although I didn't really want to hang around then I thought I might as well get it over and done with. I don't usually participate in the MOT but since I'd driven it onto the ramps I got involved in testing the lights and stuff and then he put the car up in the air before I knew what was going on and was banging around underneath me. Then I backed it off and turned it around for the emissions test which it passed with flying colours. It was all over remarkably fast but I am going to need some new tyres soon apparently. Lastly I went up to Clare's caravan to feed her cat and then came home thinking that I was needing to see David who still hasn't been with the washer for the caravan sink tap and sure enough as I rounded a corner coming out of Llanfair there he was in his tractor and promised to come round about 5.00 pm and sort it out. He never did of course.
When I got back home I had to get round to dealing with the kitchen and the washing up and that was punctuated with several trips to the compost bin and reading more of the e-mail backlog and several other diversions including falling asleep on the floor for an hour. Dinner arrived late but it was good to eat salad again and I must get back into my routines tomorrow. The rest of the evening I've spent reading the last of the e-mail and catching up the my entries here.
