my

Bluehooks Diary

I started doing this diary in June, it's quite new. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Monday 31st August

Well.... I'm home. Still landing really. Have slept loads now but still not sure what time it is, or what day it is or what's going on at all really. It was a bank holiday today and in some ways that was mercifull as it absolves me for a day from actually doing anything official or important. I thought I could at least manage to get to the Supermarket, (that being the only place open except for, inexplicably, the animal shelter charity shop) but had to turn round and come home as soon as I got there.... to pick up my wallet.

I managed to download the 419 e-mails last night but not to read any of them so quite a portion of the afternoon was spent doing that. Don't go thinking that I'm terribly important just because I got all that mail.... I just subscribe to a fairly prolific discussion list. I did read, well, an awful lot of it.

I had, in a fit of enthusiasm in the supermarket, bought food to make dinner with, but the enthusiasm had quite worn off by dinner time so I was glad when Irene called in to say there was soup made. Not long after we ate Katherine appeared clutching several last minute jobs for the WIT camp including the programme. That will all have to be done by tommorow since the camp starts on Thursday. It's amazing in how many ways this camp seems like a micro Michigan. The Michigan festie has a 64 page A4 programme with pictures and a glossy card cover. WIT camp has an 8 page A5 paper programme. Michigan had a shuttle crew of 27 and a whole fleet of vehicles including 4 tractors, WIT has me, and my landrover. I could go on with the comparisons but you probably get the picture.

I've just been catching up today. Not with everything by any means, still got lots of post and e-mail stuff to attend to, but just catching up with being back where I live and with the people and the animals. Back into reality mode tomorrow, suddenly it seems like I'm going to be busy already.
