Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

I stayed in bed too long I think, mainly because I couldn't think of a reason to get up. And then I wished I hadn't - yes, that's meant to be ambiguous. I was starting to get way into all my bad feelings, so in the end I got in the car and drove, and when I got to where I thought I was going it was starting to rain and I carried on driving. I drove up into the Black Mountains, I had no intention of going there and I had no thought about it when I left the house and I've only been there once before but I just followed my nose and that was where I ended up.
I talked to some horses who were grazing wild, a very shy half-grown foal who was wary but eventually got interested and started to nudge me when I turned away and two mares who weren't at all shy but were more interested in the grazing. I walked through a bog and sat on some stones, it had stopped raining by then. That's about all there is to do in the Black Mountains so then I went home and got stuff ready and got myself fed before going out to the WIT meeting.
I was very surprised that everyone was there already when I arrived, and I had been busy congratulating myself on only being 5 minutes early. Actually I was nearly an hour late, which, as Heather remarked, was odd since I typed the agenda only a few days before. Anyway, there were still eating and talking and then Heather cracked open a bottle of bubbly to celebrate the fact that we got our Lottery Grant and WIT camp 99 will be going ahead. And then on with the meeting, which in it's usual style never did get through the whole agenda before it was time for people to relieve babysitters and start long journeys home and things like that. I stayed a bit longer and sorted out various tasks with Heather and took gifts home for the pigs (two carrots and an apple). Straight into bed when I got back.
