I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

     

Another quiet morning, everybody else having gone out before I even woke up. Actually I woke up far too late. That was because I was reading until 5.00 am. Didn't mean to, it just happened.
Anyhow it was lovely day and the horses were fairly dry so after I'd brought the hay up and let them have an unobstructed munch for a while I gave Princess a bit of a brushing over. She was filthy but her coat is looking good. Nelly didn't really want to be brushed so I left her alone. I chopped some wood then and went down the garden and lifted off all the stinky silage wrap we put on last week and put down one piece of the (clean) heavy gauge that I bought yesterday and it covered about three or four times the area, didn't stink and didn't have holes and rips all over it. Fantastic if you ask me.
I had the urge for egg and chips then, as I often do on a Thursday and went into town where the only other thing I had to do was collect my laundry. I sat over the egg and chips for a while reading a magazine and watching the world go by then went home where I very soon had the house to myself again because everyone else went off to Aberystwyth to swim. I didn't go because I was bleeding and anyway there weren't enough swimsuits to go around. I had a quiet few hours and got a few things done on the computer and had a nice bath. After they were all back Hansi came in with the corrections to the french text on her poster and I got that done and then joined the others for a while but now it's supposed to be early bed time. Tomorrow's is a busy one.
