Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

I managed to get myself out of bed at 10.30 am, no alarm clock or anything, it may not sound like much but 10.30 am is a big improvement. I even got my own breakfast together, and that was really quite something. For a while it was looking nice outside and seemed like we had a nice day for gardening. In fact it was really quite cold out there but we had written down on our planting schedule that today was the day for planting a lot of the herb seeds and that was a job that happens in the greenhouse. It was nice and warm in there and it felt good to be getting out the potting compost and the seeds and putting them all into trays and pots and then waiting to see how they grow. Those are the first seeds of the year. The planting schedule starts hotting up soon and it seems like we really need to borrow some pigs if we are ever going to get the earth ready in time for planting vegetables.
When we were done with planting Lorna helped me to get us both a plateful of salad together and we had lunch and then I had some afternoon time to myself and did a few bits on the computer and had a leisurely bath and made my dinner even though it seemed like I'd only just had lunch, but I'm determined to stick to this one. Then I put on my clean clothes and headed down to Llanfair for the WIT night out stopping at the Pioneer supermarket on the way for mineral water and organic yoghurt (the only things I could think of to buy there really) and at Lisa's to bring her some of the sweeties I made last night and a bottle of mineral water. I got to the hall about 9.00 pm or so and it seemed like 'everybody' was there, we had a strong local turnout but there were quite a lot of women I didn't recognise as well. I headed straight for the kitchen in the hope that there would be a fire going and there was so I kind of stayed there, well, that's where I always stay and drank lots of cups of herbal tea and smoked too much. I did head out to see Roxane do her stuff and to start off the sage stick when Shellebelle and Shanna got to doing their tribal sounds thing but mostly I stayed in the kitchen. I expected I'd probably leave way before midnight but when I finally did leave it was nearer 1.00 am and that was only because Clare hadn't turned up with more wood and the fire was starting to go out.
I waited up for a while because Darlene had asked me if one of her friends could stay over here and she was going to follow home whichever of us was the last to leave so once everybody was back and I'd shown her where the bed was - as if it wasn't obvious - then I went off to bed myself.
