I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

     

It was nearly midday by time we all surfaced and even later by the time Heather emerged with a birthday headache which she swore was not a hangover. We had a protracted breakfast after Sharon and Geraldine arrived and I had to stand outside to smoke in wellies and pajamas, but it was mercifully sunny and mild.
It was a bit colder by the time we all set off for a walk down to the beach and we all had to wear hats but after a while of traipsing the sand dunes and clambering across rocks I was soon warm enough to unbutton my jacket and lie down and look at the view. We met up with the little wild ponies near the beach and had a nuzzle with them and then climbed back up the dunes. Lunch was then being prepared and Lorna and Irene and Hansi arrived and we all ate and then set off home in convoy with Irene and Lorna and the dogs in one car and myself and Hansi and Roselle and Pascale in mine.
Back home it was cold and all the fires had to be lit as fast as possible and then just eat a snack dinner, lounge in front of the tv for a while and then into a hot bath and early to bed.
