I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick
low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.
I can't even remember why I went to bed so late last night, but judging by the time I woke up it must have been way late. Fire was out again and slow to catch on so I lingered over the coffee longer than usual and then felt sorry for the horses because it was raining hard and gave them a whole bale of hay. Then I brought down a barrowload of sopping wet wood to process in the rain. It took a while and I was thoroughly wet and slimey by the end of it but the wood stash was replenished for another week or so. |
A bit later on in the afternoon Irene gave me the massage I'd been waiting for since I got back from Scotland and a serious relaxation came over me for quite a while. Tonight is twelfth night and I had a pudding which my Mother made and which had been brought down from Scotland and tonight, I felt, was the night to eat it. As far as I'm concerned twelfth night celebrates the end of Christmas and that's as good a reason as any to celebrate, although I have noticed that there are already ads for Creme Eggs on the tv which is a sure sign that there will be easter eggs in the shops pretty soon. |
After dinner we all came through and watched a Survival Special about a pride of lions and then a documentary about Stonehenge which presented a theory that the whole thing is based on sex. Just a lot of men having fantasies and being over obsessed with female genitalia I think. I've been playing with this picture on and off today, had to put something there now that the decorations have been taken down, it would look empty otherwise. |
