I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick
low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.
I had some nice post today, three 3 We-moon diaries which I bought at the festival and had posted back.
After what was a really good full night's sleep I dived straight into WIT work and got all the last minute details finalised and queries answered. As I was printing things out and collating bundles Marina came round to find me in my pajamas up to my knees in paper and envelops and sticky labels and helped me out filing some of it.
When that was all ready we hitched up the trailer and set off for the wood yard at Pumpsaint. First stop was at the village shop in Llanfair where I was hoping there would be a large enough envelope to get all the WIT moniring documents into. In the event there wasn't and I had to settle for brown paper and selotape and spent quite a while wrapping it on the shop counter while various people wandered in and out of the shop. Eventually all the packages were weighed up and stamped and we set off again. So many times recently I've driven that 'over the top' road and wished for a camera so today I remembered to bring it along and made several stops to take pictures of the top of the world. We made another stop to look at some deforrested land which is being sold off locally for amazingly small prices. Time was getting on by then so we got off to the wood yard and got the trailer loaded up with 8 big corner posts. They are so heavy that, I'm ashamed to say, I can't lift one by myself.
Back home I got some wood chopped up and got the fire going for whatever activities were going to be happening tonight and then persuaded Lorna and Irene to help me unload the trailer. Clare arrived as we were doing that and by the time we had finished was setting up the video so that we could all watch the latest, very nearly finished, edit of the film that was shot in the abandoned mine. Loey arrived just as we were about to start and a short while into the film Petra and Hanna arrived as well so it had to be started again from the beginninng. The miracle was that we had every single cast member in the room at the same time, we were never all on set at the same time and to get us all in the same room at the same time without even meaning to was quite a co-incidence. The film is looking quite amazing, it's very beautiful to watch and to listen to in a number of different ways.
We were meant to be doing life drawing after that but drifted into looking at the bundles of WIT photos which Petra had brought for me to scan for the WIT website which will very shortly be up and running. There was rather a lot to scan and correct and it all seemed to go on for a long time and suddenly it was rather late. And now I really want to go to bed.
