Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Tuesday is normally a quiet morning but it wasn't today. I vaguely heard a message from the plumber coming through the answering machine and thought to myself that I should really phone him back as soon as I get up and then went straight back to sleep with the cat on my back. Next thing I knew the dogs were barking and Irene came to wake me up because he had arrived, that must have been what he was saying on the message. I got a bit of clothing on and met him at my back door. By the time I had the coffee made and the fire was halfway scraped out he had replaced the ballcock and was out of here and it was still only 9.30 am. I'm not normally conscious then.
Still, I was up then and thought I may as well stay up. I went to fax through the article Heather had asked me to do last night so that she could read it before I sent it off and found that she had just beaten me to it and was faxing through another letter for me to type and fax off to Zrazy in Dublin. So all that kept me busy for a while then Heather phoned through some changes to the first one and eventually I got them both dispatched and went off into town to do the shopping and hassle Downhome Stoves some more.
The sofabed was still in bed mode from last night and it was far too tempting when I got home and I couldn't resist a little quiet lie down. That didn't last long, there was a lot of coming and going and a request for a poster, well, several versions of a poster which I then went off to do. I did get out of cooking the dinner though - having visitors isn't such a bad thing sometimes. The snow was coming down fast and after dinner all the visitors decided to be making a run for it, down to Bournemouth, via Bristol. It all got a lot quieter after that and I worked some more on the poster before having a real serious bath and now I'm going to bed early because I'm going off to Swansea tomorrow to get my elbow adjusted.
