A Window Into My Emotions

Poetry by Kat

Love
(written in 3rd grade)

Love is a cozy breakfast in bed
Love is knowing that friends aren't dead
Love is a cry
A cry for arms, open arms that I surely miss
Love is a kiss

(dedicated to Penn)

Go Back

Let's turn back the pages of time,
when I was your friend, and you were mine,
Let's flip back the pages of past,
and we'll remember the fun we had at long last,
Let's rewind the movie of our lives,
the scenes we find will amaze our eyes,
Let's go back to a time we knew well,
If we die, only time will tell.

(Yes, I know what that’s about, Kat…the thought is almost making me cry.)

In the Darkness, Night Strikes

Darkness overcomes me in the dead of night,
while I'm sipping tea as I turn out the light.
A rapping came outside my door,
As my mind reviewed all monster lore
I answered the door full of fright.
I find myself face to face with the Queen of Night.
Hecate herself standing on my porch.
Hair raven black, eyes dark as nothingness.
And I surrendered.
I surrendered myself to the night!

A Fragment

The curse is well received by the devil’s pawns below.
From every point of view, everbody’s just a piece.
A piece in a puzzle or a drop of water from the ocean.
A drop of pure water in a sea of hated blood.

A poem for Lauren and Alli

You are friends I know I can trust
I can count on you to do what you must
We tell each other secrets
We complain about our 'folks
And of course, we've got a billion inside jokes

Your opinions means a lot to me
When we're together, I feel free
No one laughs as much as us
And everybody thinks we're nuts!

You guys are my friends, like it or not,(A note: Like it? We LOVE it!)
You coudn't get away from me, not if you tried
We're friends forever,
Sisters for life!

Sox!!!!!

I like my sox
I keep them in a box
Some day, I'll give them to a fox
And he'll have trouble opening the locks
I'll wear my sox, with my docs
An owner of sox, is Courtney Cox
I've never had the chicken pox
I'm in a band, and it really rox!!!
But none of this has anything to do with my sox!!!!!

A Poem

A star fell
falling from grace?
Or falling away from you?
who laughed
and shattered it's dream.?
A dream turned to a nightmare.
And the devil got his wish.
A star fell.

Bad night at the Movies

I saw a movie last night, but it was real.
A comedy gone bad.
Like my life.
As if quoting me, saying
"My life is a tragedy"
And i laughed.
But the world laughed back.
And all was well.
We were all laughing lunatics!

The Diary

A frilly, pink, satiny diary.
A diary of a teenage girl
who dots her "i"s with hearts.
Her world turns upside down.
Secrets not to be told
slowly unfolded in this silly book.
A filly, pink, satiny diary.
