Sarum Episcopal Church
The Sarum Episcopal Church was founded to bring gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals and all people back into the Christian Life of the Church as once existed in the Ancient British Christian Church. We believe that Jesus's uncle, St. Joseph of Arimathea founded Christianity in Britain at Glastonbury. It is written in the Bible that Joseph of Arimathea begged for the body of Jesus from Pilate and buried Him in his own grounds. Joseph was probably a member of the Sanhedrin (councilors). He is thought to have owned tin mines near Glastonbury in Britain. Jesus may have even spent part of His youth at Glastonbury. Legend claims that Joseph brought the Holy Grail to England. It is known that the Ancient Christian Church blessed same sex unions as well as
marriage between men and women. We also honor Saint Aelred an openly gay Abbot who preached that "friend cleaving to friend in the spirit of Christ," was invaluable, so do we. All visitors are welcome.
