SACRAMENTS AND RITES
The Sarum Episcopal Church administers seven Sacraments:
- HOLY BAPTISM for persons committed to Jesus Christ.
Christening for newborns.
- HOLY COMMUNION for any baptized Christian.
- CONFIRMATION for parishioners taking personal responsibility for their baptismal vows.
- RECONCILIATION for persons seeking healing in the brokenness of relationship with God, others
and self.
- HOLY COVENANT (Matrimony/Marriage/Holy Union) for any adult couple.
Solemnization of Marriages.
Blessing of Relationships.
Renewal of Vows.
- ANOINTING/HOLY UNCTION for healing body and soul.
- HOLY ORDERS for ordination to the diaconate, priesthood and episcopacy.
For any person who meets the canonical requirements of the Sarum Episcopal Church -
regardless of gender, sexual orientation or marital status - in response to God's call and community
affirmation.
