The Hour Glass

The sifting of sand

Through a little glass

Counts seconds of our life,

Seconds that we live.

We may have forgotten,

To be careful with our lives,

For we only get one chance,

For the sand to fall just right.

We cannot stop,

The sand from falling.

We do not know,

How long it will take.

We were given a gift,

When we were given our life.

Don't take it for granted,

That's not your right.

The fear of war,

Speed the sand up.

The sand keeps falling,

The sand can't stop.

Don't stop it before,

Your time is right.

To live is a gift,

It's not a right.
