Life's Simple Hatred
Hate has a face of distrust,
You see, feel talk, love it,
Hate consumes its lover,
Envelopes it in a bear hug,
But it rarely lets go,
When it does, the love is left
By the wayside indestinguishable.
I hate it here. The place I loved,
Year after year, more friends disappear,
Leaving a residue of those I hate,
Although I love them in some ways,
I hate them more, like magnets,
On one side, a strong attraction,
On the other, a destinct hatred.
I have loved a boy and a girl,
The girl I love and hate,
The boy I hate and love.
Singularly, the elements are deadly,
Together, the compounds hazardous,
Coffee kills, but I feel love from it,
I hate it so much that I will not return.
