Op

One of the most important things about being an Op in #bifemdomme is to remember why we are here in the first place. As Ops, we are here to protect the guests and the integrity of this channel. Our job is to make sure that no guest is abused whether they be Domme or sub. We are here to teach our guests about the lifestyle of D/s - BDSM. Being an Op is not about power or control, it's about working and resolving problems and issues that arise. We try to run this channel as a team...with the Managers consulting other Ops, when appropriate, on major issues and rule changes. No one person makes major rule changes...if an Op observes a problem, they should consult with one of the Channel Managers and/or Channel Owners so that changes can be discussed.

All Ops are to follow the rules as stated in the #bifemdomme manual.

With a channel as large as #bifemdomme, there needs to be strong leadership,  problems do occur, therefore we have a clear-cut chain of command as shown below.

Channel Owners - MsGarbo, MsKarin

MsGarbo and MsKarin handle issues that we can't resolve on our own. All major changes in channel rules are approved by them. All appointments of permanent Ops are approved by them as well.

Channel Manager

- has the authority to suspend an Op's access to W
- sees to it that existing rules are applied to all as fairly as possible
- tries to resolve conflicts in channel or with Ops, if unable to, forwards
logs and decision making to MsGarbo and MsKarin
- helps to clarify any confusion over existing channel rules to both Ops
  and users
- makes recommendations for possible new Ops, evaluates their
performance, gets input from other Ops as to their suitability and
then makes a final recommendation to MsGarbo and MsKarin for approval

Senior Level Ops/Administrative Ops:

Common Channel Issues

Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the #bifemdomme manual.  These are the rules, guidelines
and etiquette, we as Ops, are expected
  to uphold in channel.

All Ops should notify the Channel Owners or Senior/Channel Managers of any problems or trends they observe in channel so these issues can be addressed as quickly as possible and solutions worked out. Also, if you get legitimate complaints from the users about different issues, please let us know.

In all our decisions, we should always promote the following ...

  • this is first and foremost a D/s channel and D/s activities and discussions take priority over everything else

  • that activities are to be safe, sane and consensual

  • the idea of negotiating the exchange of power

  • the use of safewords

  • that subs submit by consent and can stop any scene when it becomes uncomfortable

  • No snuff, rape, mutilation, severe torture or blood letting

  • that we don't interfere with ongoing scenes unless the sub requests help either privately or by using the safeword publicly

  • one of if our primary philosophies is being severely violated and then this should be handled by an Op, not a user.
  • When the channel is busy or intense scening going on, over usage of popups and waves should be discouraged.

Private Messages: Private messages are discouraged unless permission is first granted in channel.

Private Squabbles Among Users: From time to time, you, as an Op, will find yourself in the middle of a squabble between users. Be very careful. You may counsel them as a friend, but unless it ends up in public in channel, keep your Op hat off. As an Op, you shouldn't take sides publicly or kick/ban based on your personal feelings in the matter. It might be a good idea if you find yourself in the middle and something comes up in channel, to let another Op make the judgement call.

If you need something changed with your access in W, please talk to  one of the Channel Owners or Senior/Channel Managers.

If you think of any other common issues that should be clarified as to  how we generally handle them, please let us know.
