Which seems to be how I started adult life, before I succumbed to peer group pressure to express a noticable gender, and tried wearing an "I'm NOT a girl" badge...

Then, I swung the other way, and briefly did drag shows as La Contessa Norrishka,

before going on hormones and looking like my mother.

While identifying as a pre-op transsexual, I played the part of one in a prison drama.

Then I had my genitals surgically rearranged, but as may well be observed, this had little impact on how I looked.. except I gave up make-up on the grounds that I no longer had to do anything to prove my womanhood..

It followed that if make-up was no longer neccessary for me to be a real woman, neither were hormones... or hair... or clothes... and I became the hippy hermaphrodite.At last I'd realised that gender was something I could play with, without taking it so seriously. I reclaimed my masculinity.

And once more assumed the androgynous image I opened this page (and my adult life) with.
