A Resource and Support Network for Christian artists and enthusiasts everywhere.
The Christian Music Connection encourages every member to strive for the highest standards of Christian character, moral behavior, and musical excellence. CMC does not have the resources to verify the spiritual standing of every performer listed on our site. We would encourage users of this data to follow the exhortation of 1 John 4:1 and test the spirits of the Performers before committing to inviting them to minister.

Anointed … Powerful … Christ centered … Real!
These are just a few of the adjectives being used by gospel music
fans, promoters and pastors to describe the ministry of THE STEELES from
Nashville, Tennessee. Whether on the steps of our nation’s capital, a great
concert hall or on the platform of a church – large or small, THE
STEELES have been faithful to carry the message of the gospel through
song everywhere they go. And go they have! In addition to their numerous
concert appearances over the past months, THE STEELES have appeared at
the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, The Christian
Booksellers Association at the World Congress Center in Atlanta,
Georgia, Gospel Music Association week in Nashville, Tennessee, where
twice Jeff Steele (group leader and songwriter) was honored as Southern
Gospel Music’s top songwriter. THE STEELES were recently featured
at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Washington D.C.
and later in a follow-up article in the N.R.B.’s monthly publication.
Their song "We Want America Back" was voted single
of the year and song of the year. The
album of the same name was awarded the Singing
News Fan Award for "Album of the Year" and was the #1 song for the
year on the year end top 40 for 1997. THE STEELES were featured at the
Save The Ten Commandments Rally in Montgomery, Alabama, as well as a special
segment on CNN – The Cable News Network. Their song "We Want America Back"
was used by Dr. James Dobson on the number one syndicated program
in the world, FOCUS ON THE FAMILY. All of this in addition to the
200-220 dates THE STEELES are already working.
Mylon was born into a gospel-singing family, and at 17 years old his first song, "Without Him", was recorded by Elvis Presley. Over the next year 126 artists recorded Mylon's songs. At 19 he made his first album and has sold millions since then. Since being born again in 1980, Mylon has released 11 albums, travelled over a million miles, been honored with a Grammy Award and two Dove Awards, and sold another million records. His latest album, "Faith, Hope, and Love" focuses more on worship and praise.
In the last few years God has called for tremendous change in Mylon's life and ministry. Mylon explains, "Up until a few years ago I was a Christian musician who preached a little, worshipped a little, and rocked a lot. I'm thankful for the anointing of God upon our lives during that season and I know that we have been and are led by His Spirit. But I have become a minister who preaches and worships all the time."
