The  Story of Verb.

After breaking up with D.B. COOPER, sorta a copy of the band BLUES TRAVELER, Dan Plotner wanted to get back into the live music scene. He posted an ad in the Village Voice for a lead singer….lo and behold Mr. Carlos Bermudez answers the ad. Let me paint a picture for you ….. It's January, the last Sunday of the month in a Bronx house on Sedegwick Ave. Dan Plotner was getting ready for the interview of his potential new lead singer.  When Carlos arrived they hit off well .  Dan was impressed with the strength  in  Carlos’ voice, not to mention the potential with some coaching, which in time he did recieve.. Later, came the addition of Warren Kimmel, who was a long time friend of Dan's and also a guitar player. Dan was actually happy to have another guitar player so he can try some other style of playing besides rhythm.

Finding a bass player was easy yet hard at the same time, let me explain …. Dan’s old bass player wanted to play too but he was torn between friendship from his previous band’s lead singer, his name will not be mention for various reasons.  All in all Keith O’dweyer joined in as the bass man a.k.a. Smackie ..So lets re-cap Dan on guitar, Carlos on lead vocals, Warren on guitar, now Keith on bass, so all we need is a drummer …in comes
Rick DeLuca a hyper drummer from Berkley Collage in Boston …This is where they all came together in April of 97.  Their first show was a success due great support from friends and families not to mention the good music that these guys can write and perform.
Shows just started to line up.  It has really been interesting these few months that I started working with the band and actually became one of its non-musical members ..you may ask what is it that I do for them., I handle most of the office aspect of the job & the recording live at shows.  I’m also starting to learn sound and the sound system like the mixer, PA system and placement of speakers and monitors…all that good stuff, As a member of this band I’ve learn to appreciate music and listen to it in a totally different light, and for that I’ll like to take this time to thank them with all my heart “YOU GUYS ROCK & RULE” much love peace see ya…………….GIO
