Tashilhumpo Monastery
The traditional seat of the Panchen Lama, Tashilhumpo Monastery was the only monastery to survive the Chinese invasion and the Cultural Revolution intact. What I loved about this monastery was its soaring red walls and intriguing alleys and laneways.
