Hey Matt, What a great site. Your comments on gaylife and relationships, marriage and kids are on the money. I've had similar experiences; marriage - 8 yrs, two kids( grown now); LTR - 17yrs; assorted boyfriends and carrier changes...it seems like multipl
lifetimes rolled up into 50+ years.
I still hold onto the idea that romance lives!!
..and hope to meet someone who shares that idea AND makes sparks (there's the rub). Get in touch if you've a mind to. I'm not far away and I'd love to make some new friends.
Great radio station!!!!

Matt - My compliments to you on such a fine website that is full of affirming values and examples for the rest of us who are gay parents. My story is much like your own in having been married, coming out, being a biological father (in my case twin boys)
nd grappling with the reshaping of my life as a single gay man and father. The feelings of responsibility for "hurting" my wife and children are very, very real for me as well. I have had to remind myself that ultimately, I was hurting them more by cont
nuing to lie to them and to myself. I was raised with values that told me lying, particularly to your spouse, was wrong, but then again so was being gay. I'm confident in God's love for me as a gay man because He made me this way and as one person once t
ld me, "God doesn't make junk." So after 30 plus years of fighting Him I decided to give in and be what He obviously intended me to be, a gay father. Neither of my boys know at this ponit about me and very few people know I'm gay. I'm slowly coming out
a small step at a time. It is the hardest thing I've had to do and I've found new lows in my life since all of this has transpired. But, there is no way I could go back to that hell of living "alone" in the dark closet of denial. I wish you the very bes
as you continue your journey and being I'm in the Greater Hartford area as well I'd welcome the opportunity to get to know you better myself. Good luck!!

Matt... what an outstanding page!! I read ALMOST every word of it. May even ask permission to "borrow" a couple of things for my own homepage as I continue work on it. I am so pleased that your coming out/separation/divorce process has gone as it has.
Mine is similar in some ways, and different in others. I was married for 15 years and have two lovely daughters, ages 9 & 15. They know I'm gay, and are very supportive. My ex-wife however, is angry, bitter, and vindictive. I understand her hurt, and
ruly pray she can get beyond it not just "for the sake of the kids", but for her own sake as well. Sometime I'd love to meet you in person for a cup of coffee and a chat. I think we'd have much to share.

Hi Matt,
Hey, I like your web site, and I'm envious in a
lot of ways. First of all, you are an incredibly
handsome man, even if you think that pic isn't
your best shot! Secondly, I've always wanted to
have children, so you are a lucky man. I realize
that there were lots of problems with being
married and coming out, and maybe we can talk
about it sometime. I also like the fact that
you're an administrator, and have a career. The
majority of the guys that I meet, who are gay,
focus their lives on being gay, rather than just
being someone who's gay, and focussing on a career. Anyway, I'm sure you're going to make a
great husband for someone, even if you do leave
the cap off of the toothpaste sometime.
Me? I'm 45 (look younger, check out the pics on
my webpage), 5'7", 155#, medium build, short black
hair, brown eyes, hispanic/italian background,
smooth, research scientist at UCBerkeley and
Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. I'm doing
research in the area of molecular neurobiology.
I've never had a boyfriend.
OK, well that's a short note off to you. If
any of this sounds interesting, and you'd like

Love your page, but hey, no false modesty ok? (I refer to your photo)--you, my friend, are a major stud-muffin! Wanted to comment on your question of "What relationship do I know(I'll assume you mean, Gay Relationship) that's lasted the longest. My brot
er, who's also gay, has been involved in a stable relationship for the past 18 years. And not to disappoint you or anything, but I honestly don't think they would have lasted this long if monagamy (physical monogamy, anyway) had played a super important
ole in their marriage. Anyway, that's that. Your section of comments really hit home with me. I don't have a straight marriage or children in my background but I certainly can relate to everything you say. You sound like you really have a head on your
shoulders, besides being so cute. Too bad I'm such a LOUSY dancer, despite being a professional musician! So in any case, I'd love to get your feedback on the above-mentioned relationship thing. And if you're ever thinking of coming to Mexico City (where

Hi! I don't know how you will view my comments or if you will even keep them; if I knew you as a human being I would probably be just as supportive of you as anyone else. You seem like a really together kind of guy, and I like that.
My story is a bit different from yours -- I grew up always believing I was gay and married because I thought it would "change me". As we all soon discover, it did not. However, I have made the conscious choice that I am not happy living as a gay man in
straight marriage. Therefore I have initiated my own "coming out" of the gay lifestyle.
When I first disclosed my sexuality and what I perceived as an identity crisis to some very close friends and my wife (individually) they expressed disbelief and shock, but eventually understood as they heard the deeper details of my life. I am now being
discretely supported by my network of friends and my wife as I pursue the desired "change" from a preoccupation with my "gayness" to a healthy (for me) lifestyle in which I actively pursue a, personnally, more rewarding and more intimate relationship with
my family...an idea I never imagined possible till a few months ago.
Sorry such a long comment. Let me say I have no negative feelings or thoughts for anyone who is gay, bi, whatever -- whether they believe they were born that way or were gradually turned to being gay or just discovered they had been that way all along.
'm not much for the intellectualizing of a condition or a state of being. I applaud anyone who can lead a productive and fulfilling lifestyle whatever it may be. I only ask that I receive the respect from others that they demand of me. Everyone has the
right to exist as they wish, so long as they don't try to force their way of thinking on others.
I hope you have a fantastic day -- you deserve it!

Howdy neighbor. Good to read about you. I am a married man who is trying to deal with being gay, also. I have four children and also work as an administrator in a college. Sounds like we have a lot in common. Write me.

Enjoyed the webpage Matt. I applaud you to being able to "figure" what you are and not keeping it hidden. I also applaud your exwife for being there for you to make sure that this is what was right. I look forward to re-visiting soon.
Thanks for letting me into your life. Joe.
