A year and a half ago, Lisa had 'died' to save a 23 year old marriage. Did the shrink routine, dove into religion and thought I was through with this 'hobby'. No such luck.... I lasted 6 months at best. In that time, I had many a chance to study the Bible and what it says about this. I discovered that there is nothing in the Book that condemns it. Most rely on the Deut 22 - "A woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment;". Well if one reads the entire chapter, the majority refers to pagan worship. In fact if we rely on these verses, the majority of today's women would be stoned for not covering their heads in church. Pertains to today's times? Hardly.... Went back to counseling, this time prepared to do battle. After discussing this verse and others, the minister did agree that I was correct in my reasoning. The only thing he could could come up with was that it was 'wordly'. That's when I asked him about his new van in the parking lot. Wasn't that 'wordly' as well? End of conversation....
On a plus note, he did forbid my better half to divorce me because of this. I feel now that she finally understands that this is something that was alway there and will never go away. One of the biggest reasons this marriage survived while others have failed? Love.... Too deep between us to break up the partership. I has been a long, rough road and hopefully most of the bumps are now far behind us. For those who are 'blessed' with this hobby, I wish you all the best. It's very difficult life to lead but it can be done. Good Luck! Back to top
One of my favorite hobbies is singing. We have performed at numerous nite clubs and private parties singing mostly Patsy cline and classic country western tunes. I have included "Faded Love" and some others for your listening pleasure. Others will be added in my 'spare' time. You must have 'Real Player' program or others that will handle '.rm' files. These are rather a long files so it may take a while to load. Click on Songs to listen. In addition to my musical background, I also enjoy playing the piano and have played trumpet, clarinet, guitar and accordian in the past. I enjoy listening to most music excect heavy metal and c'RAP'. Then again, I don't think I can classify the last two as 'music'. We have recently burned our first CD and is forwarded on to an interested recording company. Jay Leno here we come!! (wishfull thinking...) Back to top
In my 'spare' time, I do have a multitude of hobbies. Boating, jet skiing, water skiing, swimming, scuba, flying, restoring classic cars, computer programming, designing web pages and I can't forget, just plain old partying! I try to enjoy life for all that it has to offer and learn everything I possibly can. One only learns by his(her) mistakes and believe me, I've had my share of errors. Still searching for that perfect career or should I say 'happiness' in life.... will I ever find it? Very difficult to say.
