Home Sweet Home ...

John Willie, the famous creator of Sweet Gwendoline was very much preoccupied by home security problems . He couldn't stop giving the good advice to young women : Learn jiu-jitsu, the art of selfdefense . It did'nt help however with his models, he always succeeded in showing them some rope tricks (to our great pleasure). When they were bound he told them , they could just be like Miss Houdini, which did'nt help them very much. Another preoccupation of his was the ever nagging housewife , always rambling around when the man just wanted "peace, perfect peace " .
Put them into handcuffs and legirons, they just keep strolling around the house, rattling with their chains , always having the last word !
John Willie invented (or re-invented ?) some simple but effective devices which are worth being shown and explained in detail

The portable prison
All it consist of is a "T" made of stout iron. Each stroke of the "T" ends on a ring - the ring on the down stroke of the "T" opening on a hinge . The contrivance is placed under the malefactor's knees as she sits on the floor. Then the arms are introduced into the two rings on the cross of the "T" . The down stroke, with it's open neck ring sticks up between her legs . Bending over the neck is placed in the proper place, the padlock is snapped shut and there you are. The victim is not on the least bit uncomfortable - at least not for a time - but quite definitly unable to do much about anything
