Deadly Pit

Solid as stone when you try to break them down to fill in the hole
Soft as sand when being removed making the hole deeper
Learning to climb, after falling back
So many new lessons transforming the solid to something less
The pit will never be full
I will stand above it removing the blades that line the floor
Exposing the stream and allowing light in for new growth

Soft texture of her hair
Delicate smell of vanilla scented perfume
That wrinkle just above her eyes when she laughs
The feel of her shirts layered over one another
Crimson tinge of blush at a scene slightly embarrassed over
Her reactions to what is being said and seen
Pace of breathing changing, heart racing
She gasps, eyes wide, someone just died
Smooth feel of her hands in mine

You teach me anyway
I tell you I am not what you think

You want help, follow me
Do as I say
I follow, I act and visualize
I cast something larger than I have ever done
I don't have your dedication
You all have this power, I don't have it
A connection to something... bigger
I know I have a connection, I just don't feel it as strongly
For you, all of you it seems, it is a lifestyle
For me it is just sort of there
I do like to learn
To feel that I can stay connected with you all in some form
I don't have the dedication you have
I will never be in the classes, they just aren't that important for me
You will all excell above me
I will fall behind
But you won't let me feel behind
I thank you for that
For believing in what I must have somewhere
Trusting that I will find it in myself and beable to use it
Showing me that I can do things.

Protective

I could feel it while I was casting
I wanted to be there to hold you, stop the ritual and help you
Being away from you and knowing you were hurting
That is a very hard thing to do for me
But, I knew that once complete this would help more in the long run
Ridding the house of anything bad
Protecting it from penetration
Feeling the warmth that filled the place
That sweet smell of fresh air from the Goddess
All of this will help in the future
To prevent those attacks
Tonight we will work on what happened last night
