No. Chad is not my real name. My real name is Ed. I'm a gay man, a cubbish bear, if you will, in Durham, North Carolina; but when I originally created this site, I lived about 6 miles away in Chapel Hill. I took the name Chad initially online as I was exploring my sexuality. I was deeply involved in conservative Christianity at the time and wanted to be as anonymous as possible. Eventually, I would reveal my real name to those I'd meet and came up with a couple of versions of what C.H.A.D. stands for: Chapel Hill Alternative Dude and Chubby, Hairy, Artsy, Devoted. Both kinda sum me up.

Anyway, this is the site where I can be me. Unlike my other site, this one has been constructed with no closets. This is my story. Stay a while if you'd like.
