Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Janice Chandler, but all my friends call me Jan. I love to tell stories and writing is my life. On these pages you will find some of my favorite poems and short stories. Soar through the night sky with an Incubus, find wisdom in math, share my childhood memories and awaken some of your own. If you enjoy yourself, please let me know. Like Mark Twain, I can live all week on a compliment. The Acorn Gathering, an anthology edited by Duane Simolke, is a collection of short stories revolving around the fictional west Texas town of Acorn. TAG features two of my short stories, "The Seedling" and "The Gun." All written work on "Scribblings" is my own. You may link to it or quote me, but you may NOT claim it as your own. If you make money on any written work, please share it with me. Background graphics were created from digitized art. The rest were acquired from royalty-free sources. NOTE: The site has not been updated in months. Since the last update, the links to many freeware and shareware word processors have died. My editor of choice for my laptop remains Jarte, although I do like Rough Draft. |
