For the uninitiated, a bear (typically) is a large, burly often hairy gay man. But it is not limited to that definition. I, for example, consider myself an otter, essentially a skinny bear. I also find hair very attractive, another qualification for being a bear. There's even a Bear Code where you can find out where you sit on the bear spectrum. I fit at B4 t w- cd g s- p. Take a look at the Code to see what that means.

In Chicago, we have the Great Lakes Bears. We also have a chapter of GenX Bears, a organziation for bears in Generation X. I'm a member of this group. Click on this link to find out more and sign up.
In Indiana, there are the Hoosier Bears. For the Midwest as a whole, we have the Midwest BearPack. They have links to publications and bear clubs in the region.
One magazine for bears and those who love them is American Bear which is an adult magazine. But their website doesn't show too much of the guys. They do offer subscription and submission info and links to groups.
For links to other bears sites, hit the Bear Roulette. This will send you to a random page of another bear. You can find a lot of interesting stuff like this.
If you go to only one bear site, check out Alan and Steve's Home on the Web. It is one of the coolest sites on the web. They have links to bears, coming out, gay parenting, and more. They're also both very cute and have been together for 18 years.
Let me know if you have any other cool bear links. Or pictures for that matter. E-mail if you have some interesting stuff.
