The Purple ribbons (At the time) were a concept that we designed. They represent support for the NUS LGB. They were very popular and were all distributed within the first two days of the week.
The Ribbons were even popular with members of the Christian Fellowship. They wore the ribbons because it wasn't promoting Homosexuality but infact supporting the eradication of Homophobia on Campus. Although some people turned their noses up to a positive thing. Narrow mindedness is why half this country is in the state it is.
