Pauline writes: "I was sent to Thailand and loved it. I could get a room downtown and dress whatever way I wished. Loved the clothing.
"Did get one chance at combat, LAB 19 to pick up an A-1e. We got a gun, toolbox and all id taken away. We weren't there. The idiot 2nd LT kept the ammo on the plane so we wouldn't shoot anyone. And where would you attack if you were the enemy? I realized I couldn't be a lifer after that trip."
