CAUGHT IN A TRAFFIC JAM

Most girls (including myself) are always nervous about being "made". Well I have been going out en-femme for a number of years now shopping at malls, cocktails at "straight hotel lounges, using the ladies room etc. But I still have that fear of being made and am frequently convinced everyone is staring at me. Perhaps a for a  sense of reassurance -several weeks ago I was driving north on an interstate between DC and Baltimore and suddenly about 4 cars in front of me a tractor trailer jackknifed and blew up---absolutely horrendous but the driver got out in time so fortunately no major injuries. Since I was about 3 cars behind this I was suddenly and in broad daylight and totally en femme trapped there. Well the emergency vehicles came up police fire trucks etc. and I was terrified that I would be given a hard time by the police. As it turns out they interviewed many of the close cars. When they came over to my car it was with  lots of hello ma?am, did you see what happened ma?am , please tell us ma?am etc. (and here I felt I looked a fright). Finally after an hour sitting there with no one really giving me a second glance they  asked me to back my car up, and did it in a very solicitous manner----Are you sure you can back it up ma?am, be careful ma?am etc. (the chauvinist ---I loved it). Well after another while they finally cleared us out with an officer coming over and directing my car as he walked beside my car guiding me around the wreck. I guess the point of this story is if you are dressed like a lady and comport yourself as one most folks will treat you as a lady ---even if you like me still feel that people can tell who/what you are.  All in all a very and reassuring and exciting day.

I wonder if other folks are like me, who even though they go out frequently still have that nagging sense of insecurity and how do they cope with it
