Wedding Rumors Debunked!!!

If there's one thing I absolutely hate and have no compassion for it is spreading rumors about people...especially me. So...I'm not going to mention any names of the person(s) who is/are saying these things about my husband and me, but I do want to clear them up, least someone whose opinion of me I actually care about hears this dribble.

#1 - We reserved the units, Asbury, and Meredith cabins around March of 1999 for our August 2000 wedding. We went through the proper procedure in that respect and the people who are supposed to know about that did. I'm sorry if other people were not aware of that, but it is not our responsibility to do so. We had a contract for them. My dad called whoever he was supposed to call. Anything that happened past that as far as informing people of this matter is NOT OUR FAULT!!!!! We did not just invade camp. We had a contract that was A YEAR AND A HALF IN ADVANCE!!!! Besides, if anyone has a right to be mad about this mix-up, it's me (which I'm not; I'm just saying what if), as I have squashed grape stains on the underside of my wedding dress train from the DIRTY unit floors.

#2 - We did not use any of camp's dishes for our reception. We asked Joyce, the head cook, if we could, and she graciously said of course. However, the kitchen was completely locked up Friday before our wedding, so we had to come up with other dishes. I don't care about that at all...it all worked out fine...but again, we DID NOT USE CAMP'S DISHES!!!!! So if ya hear the one about us taking the dishes without asking, it's false. A) we DID ask for them and B) they weren't available to us anyway.

I am not trying to rip on anybody, so please don't write me saying that I am. I am just clearing up some untrue rumors that have been spreading. We are good, Christian people who love camp, and it hurts my feelings very much that these things have been said about us. You might say I just need to "lighten up" but I really can't stand it when someone says something untrue about me. I lose all respect for them. 1
