Loco U65 at Invercargill on 5/12/58. This loco was built at Addington in 1898, the 21st loco built there.
In later years the original classic neat lines had been lost, due to reboilering, two extra domes, pumps, pipes and tanks added, loss of stylish funnel and classic oil lamp, and finish was now dirty black, not shiny grey. Doubtless, however, this all made the loco more practical.
