DA 1457 - "This is a DA class diesel electric engine and is attached to

the Wellington-Auckland Daylight Limited. It is here shown in the 'trap' at

National Park and is waiting to cross the 'Down' Daylight Limited. An

interesting feature of this picture is the steam engine on the 3rd road. It

proves that when this picture was taken (January 1964) there were still

steam engines around."
