We've had the sessions ... I'm sailing toooo much to get many of them on this page, so it's ... UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

1998 Wind Log

Tomales Bay, March 21WOW! What an awesome start to the year. Three of us made the scenic drive up there and got hours of clean shredding wind. It really sux (NOT!) to have to decide if we should chase powder skiing or the wind!

1997 Wind Log

Thanksgiving Surfari 97 in Maui! We found a great place in Paia. We rented all 3 units which gave us at 4 bedrooms. A great garden with a hot outdoor shower. It was very nice and the price is right. Lots of parking too, and it's right in the center of Paia. 1/2 block to health food, liquor, mini-mart stores and several good restaurants. The wind isn't supposed to be that good in November; our biggest problem was deciding where we wanted to tackle the up-to-40+ knot winds! The waves were awesome too! We had a very laid-back trip with lots of good food, sailing, hiking, snorkelling and fun.

Sunday, October 19 noon - The Last BBQ of 1997 Candlestick Park - Last official meeting of the season. We had a great BBQ with several (non-sailing) guests. We always seem to eat real well! If you're looking for hotdogs, you might be disappointed. Potluck BBQ with vegetarian and meat-eater's fare. I seem to recall that the wind howled that day!

Sat Sept 20, 1997, Crissy Field Three of us met and sailed till sunset. The sailboat races were in the way until around 4pm, when the huge (~4.0 knots) ebb started. We launched 6.0's and had the flatest sailing I've seen at Crissy. It was full wind on the inside too. Rating: Awesome!

Sat Sept 13, 1997, Candlestick Park BBQ About 15 people came, a few "newbies" and non-sailors, and we had some great eats before windsurfing till evening. Everyone seemed to agree this BBQ was a great idea. Look for more in the future.

Sometime in July and August, Sherman Island We camped out here a few times this summer and had some great dawn patrol shred sessions. The Delta is a great place to camp and windsurf.
