The modern First Virginia Battalion is a non-profit historical reenactment group founded in 1986. The aim of our organization is to give the public a historically correct presentation of the life of the common soldier during the American Civil War. Our group is based in the Norfolk, Virginia area, but with members in several mid-atlantic states. The First Virginia Battalion is a member of the 4th Regiment, 1st Division ANV.
