A closer look.

    This is the most recent photograph of Terry Williams' Steam Outboard.
You will note some changes from the other closeup view of the engine. This is do to continuing improvments.
     This is the cylinder head with poppet type valves for super heated steam. Note that the valves are in the opposite direction of internal combustion engine poppet valves. This is do to the pressure being created outside of the working cylinder. An internal combustion engine creates the pressure within the cylinder.
    This is a picture of the engine in an earlier stage of development.
