Here's what people are saying about Captain Gordon Churchill and the Flyfish NC website

Capt Gordon. I had a great time and look forward to doing it again.
Roger

Gordon,
I got the photos you took and had a blast showing them to all my family and friends. Thanks for the great time.

You are by far the best guide I've ever chartered with,

and I'm looking forward to spending some more time on the water fishing with you again soon. I sent a note to Rick Pope of TFO mentioning you as the guide who loaned me his TFO to catch those reddawgs. Thanks again-hope your wife and 15 month old girl are doing well.
Regards,
George

We arrived home in Missouri safely yesterday. Just wanted to say thanks again for getting me out on Friday on such short notice. It was a great learning experience. It is a much different type of fishing than I have ever done and it was fun seeing the Reds in that shallow water. Thanks again for a great time.
God bless
Bob

Gordon,
We had a really fun time - quite a fly fishing charge to see those red tails in that shallow water and then "cast and chase" ...what a specialized fishing experience...thanks for sharing expertise with us!

Capt Gordon,
I hired Capt. Gordon to sight fish for reds on the fly and had a great time. I had never fly fished in saltwater, just trout fished in E. Tenn., so this was a new experience for me. I brought my wife (who did not fish) and she had a great time watching wildlife and taking pictures. Capt Gordon treated her with respect and included her in the experience as much as he did for me, which meant a lot to me. He really endeared himself to my wife when he saved a baby bird from the water with the pole and put it back on a small island safely. This will go a long way for me in the future in getting the unspoken approval from my wife to hire a guide in other destinations we travel to. Thanks Capt.!

He put us on a lot of fish to cast to and take video of while maneuvering the boat to just the right position. There is nothing more exciting than seeing a tail swirl around in the grass and trying to cast to it. His brand of instruction was one that was informative and made me feel comfortable , it was like fishing with a friend. He will give you as much or as little instruction as you want, mainly he wants you to catch fish while he works very hard pushing the boat to the next swirling tail. This led me to fish hard and I barely left the casting platform. His excitement when a fish would strike my line was infectious, which made the anticipation of the next fish that much more exciting
Capt. Gordon's unique style of hard work, while being laid back, fit my personality and was a great introduction to hiring guides for me, since this was the first guide I had ever hired one in my 14 years of fly fishing. I am hooked on saltwater fishing and look forward to booking him next year when we go back to Emerald Isle for our family vacation.
Thanks Capt.

Hi Gordon- Just wanted to say thanks for a great time fishing; once again it was one of the highlights of my vacation. Next year I'll catch one on a fly rod if it kills me (or, more likely, you).
Thanks,
Brian

We fished with Gordon on July 10. We had a great trip in a beautiful setting. Capt Gordon was a super guy to fish with and he put us in position time after time. For an hour or so, we had nice sized tailing fish in almost every direction. It was an amazing sight.
Thanks,
James

Gordon,
Glad to hear you're still hammering the reds in the grass. You definitely pioneered this in the MHC area! I have found them on a few other grass flats since you showed me the ropes, but haven't been back to try them this year - we just had a baby girl ~ 2 weeks ago. I'd be glad to share the info with you when I see you next, but I'm sure you've probably fished the same areas. Keep the reports coming though, it keeps my spirits up when I'm changing diapers.
Talk to you soon, Scotty

Gordon,
Had a great time last week speckled trout fishing. Mrs. Jesse and the rest of the congregation are still saying prayers for you because of all those fish we caught for her church fish fry. Let me know what's up.
Talk to you later,
Lee McAllister

Capt. Gordon,
Thanks for reminding me to "breathe" when we approached that school of tailing reds on your flat. It was one of the most laid back, intense, and enjoyable days that my buddy and I have ever spent with a guide. You definitely put us on the fish and by the end of the day it felt like three old friends out having a good time.
Thanks for the experience Gordon.
Scott

Thank you Gordon,
We had a great time on our redfishing trip. I look forward to fishing with you again next year.
Can't wait!
John

Hey,
Just wanted to drop you a note and thank you again for a great time. Steven (son, 7 years old) loved it. As soon as I can, I will send you some pictures we took from the boat. Steven heard me talk about enlarging one of the lighthouse pictures I took, and he wants me to enlarge the picture of you and him jumping/swimming off the poling platform of your boat.
He has also decided for school to take that picture for a first day project. His teacher has asked for all students to bring in a picture of their summer vacation, and he chose that one. THANKS SO MUCH for a great day!!! It was definitely the best time we have had in a long time. I really felt relaxed.
Beth

Hi Gordo,
Just a note to say 'thanks' for Sat's trip. We covered a lot of ground and you put your usual high energy input into it all again. As I said, it was a great day that just reminded me how much adrenaline I get from those spotted tails when I see them. Am still cursing my impatience when that big fish went for the fly.. .... next time etc etc.
Best rgds
Tim

If you're looking for a guide I can heartily recommend Captain Gordon. I fished with him in mid-October at Cape Lookout on a scarce fish day. The first place we went to had only one other boat there and some albies. Sadly it didn't last real long but he did get me into fish. The out of towner guides showed up looking for fish after it was over. The albies weren't cooperating so mid-day we changed boats and went redfishing. Since he's a local he knew where to go and again he put me on fish. Capt. Gordon advertises that he's a fly fisherman and it showed in the way he positioned the boat. I never had to worry about wind direction when I cast because it was always at my back. He's an enjoyable guy to be around and is very hard working. I met him at 6:00am and said goodbye at 6:00 pm.

Hi Gordon Thanks for the update. I really enjoyed the two days I spent with you down at Morehead this Nov.
Again, I learned a lot - and there is so much more to discover.
Tim

I was really pleased that my son Aaron could fly fish with you.
He told us he had a great day and that he learned a lot.
He also said "I'm one step closer to being a great fly fisherman!"
I had been wondering how to make a trip home to visit the folks in North Carolina from British Columbia special for him - and this did the trick!
Take care!
Steve Shantz Gordon,
I rarely use the internet, primarily because the info is built up to be more than it actually turns out to be and also it usually is USELESS! Your site is however different, Stuff is easy to find, it can be used on your next trip, and you can look at pictures even if you can't go fishing.
I like the fly tying section and your trip info helps me to be able to go on my own (although I've been with you a couple of times) You dont come off like John Gierach -"I have a place where there are lots of fish, beautiful weather, and the fish are easy to catch- but I'm not telling you where it is!"
Keep up the good work.
