Nathan's Scouting History

     In 1993, I became involved in Troop 199 because they were learning Amateur Radio and I was interested in it. I pursued this interest through several licenses and have subsequently talked to many people in foreign contries. Our troop continued to explore other areas of interest including camping, rifle/shotgun shooting, archery, orienteering and wilderness survival.

     In two and one half years of scouting I have learned various skills that will enable me to be a better leader and citizen. I was exposed to first hand operation of local government as well as international citizenship. In leadership training I learned how to relate to and manage people in group settings.

     Scouting has left me with many good memories, interesting friendships and life skills that will carry on into the future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have helped me along the way and ultimately my lord Jesus Christ.

     Nathan has held the position of Patrol Leader, Instructor and Senior Patrol Leader. He has also been a member of the Worth Ranch Sunrise Club twice and earned the Worth Ranch Camp Aide award.

     For his Eagle project, Nathan organized scouts to prepare and paint the exterior of the new sanctuary at the Cross Timbers Church, Valley View, Texas.
