Dangerous Intersections






This page is to inform you about some of the most dangerous intersections found in cities around Greater Detroit . Now these are of my own personal beliefs that these intersections listed below are dangerous and no way reflect any stats from The Highway Patrols , Law Enforcement , Independent Cities listed there as , Or Road Construction Workers . I am listing these because I have phisically been thru these areas and have seen many , many cars zip thru red lights thus increasing the chance of a serious if not fatal collison . No I'm not getting any brownie points for listing the Streets , although I am hoping that if law officials see this list , they will know where to increase enforcement to stop this correctable situation . This information also includes turn lanes onto other roads that cross . If your traveling or plan to travel thru these areas , by all means take that extra step and wait a couple of seconds once the light is green before proceeding .

9 Mile and Coolidge Rds
People run thru the yellow light
Warren
10 Mile and Ryan Rds
Blind Curve covers oncoming traffic by turnlane when turning east onto 10 Mile
Warren
12 Mile and Ryan Rds
No traffic light for left turn lane for East bound 12 Mile onto Ryan
Sterling Heights
Dequindere and South Blvd
Sharp blind spot from South bound in the left turn lane to West bound South Blvd
Bloomfield Hills
18 Mile and Squirrel Rds
18 Mile sharply curves east and the speed posted is 45MPH and Squirrel Rd is a blind intersection
Ferndale
9 Mile and Woodward
People speed up to get past when it's yellow to bypass this long red light * 3 minutes 10 seconds *
Warren
11 Mile Rd Service Drive of 696 and Ryan
Quick change of both lights from yellow to red in a very small amount of feet to slow or stop between lights on the bridge






This is but a few listings of intersections and when I have more time , more will be listed . Remember also when Rush Hour traffic is at it's peak , ( In the hours between 4 pm - 7 pm Mon - Fri ) the chances increase because of double the volume of traffic per mile respectively .
