Lizzie's Hockey Page

Liz

Lizzie LOVES to play hockey.  She's been on skates since she was around 3-4 years old.  Back in her youth, there wasn't much women's hockey, so she played pick-up and pond hockey with her brother and sister.  When she got out of college she and her sister started playing ringette.  In 1996 she began playing hockey at the University of Windsor.  In the fall of that year she switched schools and helped begin a women's club hockey program at Western Michigan University (WMU Mustangs).  She also helped start a community team, the Bravo Blades, in Kalamazoo.  In 1999 we moved to the Washington, D.C. area where she played several seasons with the Washington Wolves (Rockville, MD -- Mid-Atlantic Women's Hockey League (MAWHL)). Now she is playing for the Beltway Bandits (picture below).
