Based on Horton in Ribblesdale this circular walk takes in the sumits of Pen-y- Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough within a twelve hour time limit. This link provides a good description of the walk and the pubs.
This walk was developed as an alternative to the Lyke Wake Walk to try and reduce the number of people using the route and causing erosion. Saying that it is a good route well worth doing in its own right. A description of the route can be found by following the above link. A badge and certificate are available for those completing the walk in 24 hours.
Like the previous walk this one was also developed to ease the pressure on the Lyke Wake Walk. Based on the area around Black Hambleton this circular walk is a real challenge and anyone completing within the time limit will have earned their badge.
