This web site is a chronicle of the experience of 33 men and women, ages 29 to 52,  who went to the Colorado Rockies on July 12-18, 1998 to explore, have fun, challenge themselves, renew, refresh, reflect, cry, laugh and "live in the moment." 

We attended the Career & Personal Renewal (CPR715) course at the Colorado Outward Bound School outside of Leadville, Colorado.   The course was conducted in the mountains of the Sawatch Range.   Follow the Course Description link at the left for more on the objectives of the course and the Outward Bound School.

This site has three goals:

Serve as a picture exchange for the participants (follow the Photo Album link at left).  As such, the site is fairly graphics intensive and is not recommended for viewing over a slow modem at peak Internet traffic periods!
Serve as a reminder of the experiences and lessons of the course (follow the Readings & Writings links at left).  A place to go back to when daily living erodes the assets gained in the mountains.
Be a place where we can share thoughts and developments that flow from this experience and the decisions we made out in the woods.  Sometime the "aha" doesn't come until later.  Sometimes we have the courage to follow through on our decisions.   Lets talk about it here.  (Follow the Aftermath link at left.)

So, if you are a course participant, I hope you'll contribute content to the site on an ongoing basis.  If you are a visitor, I hope you'll enjoy the sentiments and images here.  Maybe it will stimulate you to to leave your safe harbor and go outward bound...
