Outward Boundish Things to Do

Atlantic Endeavor - Next month, a Scottish-based team aims to set the world record for the fastest non-stop rowing of the Atlantic Ocean. The rowers will leave the Canary Islands in November on a voyage filled with "discovery, danger and physical endurance." Here are the brutal facts: 3000 miles of ocean, 30 days of rowing, 12 hours of rowing a day. Oh, man.
